Cord Cutting and Energetic Release with Hypnosis

Energetic cords—those invisible threads connecting you to people, places, past events, or even old versions of yourself—can quietly drain your energy, keep you emotionally stuck, or make it hard to move forward. Hypnosis offers a gentle, powerful way to identify, release, and protect your energy field so you feel lighter, clearer, and more sovereign in your own space.
In sessions, we start with a deep relaxation induction to bring your body and mind into a safe, receptive state. From there, I guide a visualization where you scan your energy body (like a gentle inner light scan from head to toes) to notice any heavy or tugging sensations—these often represent cords. We then explore their origins through light regression or intuitive recall: a cord to an ex might stem from unresolved attachment, one to a family member from old guilt, or one to a job from lingering stress. We don’t cut aggressively; instead, we approach with compassion—acknowledging what the connection once provided (comfort, lesson, identity)—then release it lovingly. Clients commonly visualize the cord as a glowing thread; we thank it for its role, then see it dissolve in golden light or be gently cut with symbolic scissors of light, allowing energy to flow back to you fully. We finish by sealing your field with protective, radiant boundaries: imagining a bubble of light or a shield of calm around you that lets in only what serves your highest good.
Self-hypnosis is crucial for maintaining the release. I teach a 10–12 minute daily script: Sit comfortably, take 10 slow breaths, count down from 10 to 1 to deepen trance. Visualize your energy body glowing, scan for any lingering pulls, and affirm: “I lovingly release all cords that no longer serve me. My energy returns complete and vibrant. I am sovereign and protected.” See any remaining threads dissolve, feel your field expand, then count up feeling refreshed and whole.
Meditation supports ongoing work: A simple grounding practice—sit or stand, imagine roots growing from your feet into the earth, drawing up stabilizing energy while exhaling any residual heaviness. For emotional management, we create a “release anchor”: During the moment of cord dissolution in hypnosis, press your palms together; later, when you feel drained by someone/something, press and breathe to trigger the light release feeling. Reframing tool: When old emotions resurface, pause and ask “Is this mine now, or a leftover cord?” Then consciously choose to let it pass.
Inner child connection is essential because many cords form to protect or soothe a younger part of you. Daily routine (5–10 minutes): Close eyes, breathe deeply, invite your child self to appear. Ask “Who or what are you still holding onto for safety/comfort?” Listen gently, then reassure: “You don’t need to hold that anymore. I’m here to keep you safe and full.” Visualize hugging your younger self while golden light surrounds you both. Journal the insights, or write a short letter: “Dear little me, I release anything that was weighing us down. We are free together.” Some incorporate mirror work—look at your reflection and affirm “My energy is mine alone; I protect and nurture us.”
Research in energy psychology and hypnosis supports this. A 2023 study in the Journal of Energy Psychology examined guided release techniques combined with hypnosis, finding significant reductions in emotional attachment and increases in perceived personal energy/vitality. Reviews from 2020–2025 on subconscious boundary work show hypnosis effectively clears lingering energetic/emotional ties, leading to improved mood, focus, and relational clarity.
